Chabot Motors Unveils ‘2026 Ram 1500’ at Busan Motor Show
Chabot Motors (Co-CEOs Jung Jin-gu and Kang Seong-geun), Ram’s Approved Retail Partner in Korea, made a surprise unveiling of two units of the latest model ‘Ram 1500’ — a pickup truck poised to change the paradigm of premium pickup trucks — for the first time in Busan and the Yeongnam region at the ‘2026 Busan Mobility Show’ held today (the 26th).
The Ram 1500 unveiled this time is an innovative next-generation model that replaces the existing large-displacement V8 engine with a high-efficiency, high-performance 3.0-liter Hurricane HO (High-Output) inline 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine paired with a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. It delivers explosive power with a maximum output of 540 horsepower and maximum torque of 72.0 kg·m, and boasts overwhelming performance, accelerating from a standstill to 60 mph (approximately 97 km/h) in just 4.6 seconds.
The Ram 1500 is equipped with patented features that offer unrivaled practicality. It includes the ‘Multifunction Tailgate,’ which combines a 60:40 split swing-away function that opens sideways and a downward-folding mechanism, as well as the ‘RamBox Cargo Management System’ — lockable storage compartments on both sides of the cargo bed. In particular, the RamBox features complete waterproofing, a bottom drain plug, and a built-in power outlet, allowing it to serve as a large ice chest when filled with ice, among various other uses.
As the first pickup truck to do so, it is equipped with a ‘10.25-inch front passenger interactive display’ exclusively for the front passenger, enabling them to enjoy a variety of multimedia through a separate screen. In addition, it offers a digital cockpit composed of more than 50 inches of screens in total, including a 14.4-inch large center touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, and a 10-inch head-up display (HUD). Furthermore, a ‘Harman Kardon Premium Audio System’ with a powerful 900-watt amplifier and 19 speakers is combined with an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system, delivering a quiet and rich sound experience comparable to a luxury lounge.
In addition, more than 100 advanced safety features are applied as standard, including the ‘Trailer Reverse Steering Control’ system, which assists with easy reversing and parking via the center console dial, and a 360-degree surround view camera.

The Ram booth at the 2026 Busan Mobility Show will operate until July 5 at a standalone booth in Hall 1 of BEXCO, offering visitors a variety of attractions to see and experience firsthand, including the vehicle’s massive presence, engine room, and innovative cargo space.
