Chery Fulwin T7 Crossover Announced – It’s the Brother of Russia’s Tenet Plus L6

In the domestic market, the new Chery crossover will be offered with an electric powertrain, while in our country its relative will be presented with an internal combustion engine. Sales of the crossover in China will start in the near future.

Chery has announced an addition to its electrified Fulwin lineup with a separate emblem – very soon, a crossover with the index T7 will be available for purchase in China. This is an electric vehicle; on other markets (for example, in Thailand) it will appear as the Lepas L6 EV. At the same time, the Lepas model also has a purely gasoline version, which is about to launch in Russia under the Tenet Plus brand: our crossover is also called L6.

Externally, the China-bound Chery Fulwin T7 crossover is almost no different from the export Lepas L6 EV. If compared with the Russian gasoline Tenet Plus L6, the electric vehicles have a different front-end design. The electric crossovers feature an original bumper, and instead of a large radiator grille – a smooth panel. In addition, the Fulwin T7/Lepas L6 EV got fairly standard headlights, whereas our “traditional” crossover has two-tier head optics.

The length of the Chery Fulwin T7 is 4570 mm, width – 1852 mm, height – 1694 mm. The Russian Tenet Plus L6 crossover is slightly shorter (4554 mm) and lower (1681 mm). The wheelbase of the vehicles is the same – 2700 mm.

In the cabin of our gasoline crossover and the export electric vehicle, a vertical multimedia system screen is installed. In China, the Fulwin T7 received a tablet of a more familiar format, with air vent deflectors additionally appearing beneath it. Otherwise, the interior of the Chery-branded model is the same as that of the Lepas and Tenet Plus crossovers. Inside, there is a three-spoke steering wheel, a narrow instrument screen, and a two-tier central tunnel.

According to preliminary data, the Chinese Chery Fulwin T7 will be offered with a single 242-horsepower electric motor on the front axle. The battery capacity has not yet been disclosed, but Chery has stated that the crossover will travel 600 km without recharging (likely according to the CLTC cycle).
