Lada Vesta Gets New Version with Climate Control and Telematics
AVTOVAZ has started production of a Vesta modification with a revised equipment list; the price will be announced later.
The Lada Vesta sedan appeared in 2015, and the station wagon joined the family in 2017. The updated four- and five-door models debuted in February 2022, with the first batch of restyled cars managing to roll off the assembly line at the plant in Izhevsk, owned by AVTOVAZ, at that time. Production was later halted and then moved to the enterprise in Tolyatti: the restart took place in March 2023. Sales of the Lada Vesta 2026 model year began in Russia in December 2025. Now the AVTOVAZ press service has announced the start of production of a new version of the model.
The distinguishing feature of the new Lada Vesta modification is a revised equipment list, which now again includes climate control (it was available on pre-restyling Vestas produced at the plant in Izhevsk). As the Russian manufacturer’s press service reminded, the system automatically maintains the set temperature: it receives signals from three sensors, regulates the temperature, and distributes air flows.
The climate control unit includes several physical rotary knobs with mini-displays that show temperature information, as well as flow direction and intensity (in the form of symbols). In addition, climate control settings can also be viewed on the 10-inch touchscreen of the infotainment system.
The new Vesta version has also been equipped with the Lada Connect Start telematic system. It is reported that with its help, owners who have installed the “World of Lada” app can remotely monitor the condition and location of the vehicle, engine temperature and battery charge level, track fuel reserves, and check whether the doors and trunk are locked and whether the engine is running. AVTOVAZ added that the telematic system has been included in the list of standard Vesta options and is now provided for all trim levels.
The company reminded that previously all versions of the Lada Vesta received the remote engine start function and keyless access to the cabin. The manufacturer also traditionally did not name the supplier of the new climate control units for the Vestas, but emphasized that “the main components of the climate system are supplied by Russian enterprises.”
The sales launch date and price of the new Lada Vesta version with climate control and telematics will be announced later. As of today, the recommended retail price of the sedan ranges from 1,581,000 to 2,020,000 rubles, and the station wagon from 1,711,000 to 2,150,000 rubles. For their cross versions, the prices are 1,818,000 – 2,131,000 rubles for the Vesta Cross and 1,938,000 – 2,251,000 rubles for the Vesta SW Cross, respectively.
Let us recall that last spring AVTOVAZ began selling refreshed versions of the “heated” sedans and station wagons – the Lada Vesta Sport. They are equipped with a modernized 1.8-liter gasoline engine, whose maximum power has been increased from the standard 122 to 147 hp, and torque from 170 to 184 Nm. This engine works in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission.
