Automotive News learned that on June 22, 2026, Xiaomi Auto announced that its all-electric SUV YU7 GT achieved the world’s first Nürburgring autonomous driving lap record with a time of 10 minutes and 29.483 seconds.
Previously, on May 21, 2026, Xiaomi Auto officially launched the fully upgraded YU7 series, including the standard version and the high-performance flagship YU7 GT. The YU7 GT is priced at 389,900 yuan, featuring Xiaomi’s latest generation of three-electric technology and master-level chassis tuning, with an optional track professional package.
In terms of exterior design, the YU7 GT features sporty enhancements, equipped with 295mm rear wide tires, a one-piece front splitter, and an active rear diffuser, continuing the family-style cross-shaped headlights and halo taillight combination. The body is available in five colors: Cherry Red, Obsidian Black, Titanium, Pearl White, and Volcanic Grey. Users can opt for 21-inch double-layer forged wheels to enhance visual appeal and handling performance. The model also features exclusive packages such as a 24K gold carbon fiber emblem and carbon fiber side mirrors.
In terms of chassis and braking system, the YU7 GT is equipped with the Dragon Chassis Master Edition, featuring dual-valve CDC variable damping shock absorbers, a closed-type dual-chamber air suspension with a 75mm adjustment range, and an eLSD electronic limited-slip differential derived from racing technology, which can actively distribute torque between the left and right rear wheels within milliseconds. The braking system shares the same origin as the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, using Akebono front six-piston calipers paired with the largest carbon-ceramic brake discs in its class, with an official 100-0km/h braking distance of 32.9 meters.
This model was deeply developed with the participation of technical experts from Xiaomi Auto’s European R&D Center, undergoing two years of tuning. On the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the YU7 GT completed a lap in 7 minutes and 22.755 seconds with the track package, improving the existing SUV category record by 14 seconds. In a cornering comparison with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, the YU7 GT achieved a result of 32 wins, 17 losses, and 1 draw.
