Lamborghini Publishes 2025 Sustainability Report… Strengthening Environmental, Social, and Governance Approach
Automobili Lamborghini has published its 2025 Sustainability Report. Prepared in accordance with the new European ESRS standards and the international GRI standards, this report confirms the role of sustainability as a strategic instrument for responsible growth based on long-term vision and innovation. The report reviews a year of achievements across environmental, social, and governance areas, demonstrating that an integrated, cross-departmental collaborative working approach is now firmly established.
Environment: Continuous measurement across the entire value chain
In 2025, Lamborghini’s sustainability strategy delivered results across multiple areas, proving its effectiveness. Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions from production facilities amounted to 27,122 tonnes of CO₂e, a 9% reduction compared to 2024. Indirect emissions, Scope 3, also decreased by 15% year-on-year. On the product front, the commercial debut of the Temerario completed the hybridization journey outlined in the “Direzione Cor Tauri” roadmap, with Lamborghini’s entire lineup now consisting of high-performance hybrid models, contributing to a 40% reduction in tailpipe CO₂ emissions compared to the 2024 average fleet baseline.
The principles of measurement and integrated management were also extended to the circularity of resources used at the factory in 2025. Currently, 77% of waste generated is recovered and processed, and the collaboration with Cartiera, which has transformed 3.18 tonnes of leather offcuts from production into over 36,000 merchandise items from 2021 to 2025, also contributes to this effort. Water management operates under the same logic. One liter of water reintroduced into the production process means one liter that does not need to be newly withdrawn from the environment. In 2025, a new system for recovering condensate from the paint shop and water from treatment facilities became operational, achieving savings of approximately 8,000 cubic meters of water during its initial operating phase.
Social: A growing corporate community
Automobili Lamborghini’s value creation stems from dialogue with the people, communities, institutions, suppliers, and commercial partners who contribute to the brand’s growth.
In 2025, Automobili Lamborghini continued to strengthen its model based on stability, competence, and inclusiveness, investing in the quality of the working environment and the growth of its employees. The company was certified as one of the “Best Workplaces in Italy” for the 13th consecutive year, recognizing its ongoing commitment to working conditions, professional development, and employee well-being. In the same vein, the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification on gender equality, inclusion, and equity was renewed, and in 2025 the company also began participating in the BBS Women Initiative, which supports women’s advancement into managerial and leadership roles through dedicated scholarships.
The commitment to continuous investment in people is also reflected in the workforce composition. In 2025, Lamborghini surpassed 3,000 employees for the first time in its history, demonstrating the strengthening of its capabilities and organizational structure. Of these, 99.7% are employed on permanent contracts, an increase of 10.6% compared to 2024.
The process of integrating sustainability into corporate processes is also linked to the incentive system. Part of the variable compensation for certain groups of managers is tied to ESG targets, including decarbonization indicators and the proportion of female managers. To complete this approach, the company also maintained a sustainable mobility incentive scheme within its performance-based pay. Ten percent of the total value is determined by the achievement of specific goals related to reducing CO₂ emissions during commuting, connecting individual responsibility with corporate commitment.
Efforts to foster a culture of sustainability extend beyond the factory walls to the network that daily conveys the excellence of the Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters to the world. In 2025, the online sustainability training program for dealers was maintained, with dedicated courses for sales managers, after-sales managers, and sustainability managers. This aims to strengthen the capabilities of those who represent the brand in each market and accompany the product through to the end customer with the same sense of responsibility as in the production process. As an extension of this journey, Lamborghini aims to strengthen the role of dealers by actively integrating sustainability topics in 2026.
Governance: ESG topics taking root in the decision-making system
The Sustainability Project Team, a cross-departmental collaborative organization created to bring together competencies, functions, and perspectives, plays a key role in integrating sustainability into corporate processes. This team supports the coordination of ESG initiatives, shares in their implementation, and contributes to spreading a more shared culture of sustainability within the organization. Through this cross-functional governance framework, sustainability becomes part of interdepartmental dialogue, gradually transforming into standards, processes, and projects that influence how the company operates and makes decisions.
In an increasingly digitalized world where the volume and value of data grow alongside the responsibility of those who protect it, privacy has become fully integrated within Lamborghini’s sustainability scope. The Data Protection Officer at the Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters currently participates as a permanent stakeholder in the Data Protection as Corporate Social Responsibility project (UM-DPCSR) promoted by the European Centre on Privacy & Cybersecurity at Maastricht University. This is an international forum where companies and researchers collaborate to develop guidelines for including privacy and cybersecurity in future ESG standards.
A clear direction, an ongoing journey
Through the 2025 Sustainability Report, Automobili Lamborghini has consolidated its working approach and strategic direction aimed at responsible growth based on long-term vision, innovation, and sustainability. This is a journey that continues to evolve in line with the engineering excellence and spirit of innovation that have always defined the brand.
