Toyota Corolla Cross gets anniversary special edition

A special “adventure” version of the crossover, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Corolla model, received the Z Adventure addition to its name.

Toyota introduced its global crossover, named the Corolla Cross, in 2020. Let us remind you that it is based on the GA-C platform, which also underpins the Corolla sedan, wagon, and hatchback. The crossover has already undergone a refresh, with the process stretching over more than a year: in February 2024, the updated SUV was presented in Southeast Asia, then it reached Europe and the USA, in May 2025 – its home market, and in October last year – China, with its own unique features. Now, a new anniversary special edition has become available to the Japanese.

Toyota celebrates the 60th anniversary of its “flagship” model – the Corolla – in early July 2026. The young Corolla Cross crossover was also invited to celebrate this event, receiving a special version with a long addition to its name – Z Adventure 60th Anniversary. The changes only affected the exterior and interior styling of the model.

Thus, the anniversary crossover received a massive radiator grille with a pattern of large honeycomb cells and a wide bar at the top with a black logo. This element resembles the radiator grille of the updated Toyota Corolla Cross with an internal combustion engine intended for the American market. By the way, the darkened emblem can be replaced with a light lettering of the brand name if desired.

Black plastic trim pieces on the lower part of the front and rear bumpers, on the wheel arches, as well as side skirts for the special version are available with a “textured” coating called Meteor Coat. The Toyota Corolla Cross Z Adventure 60th Anniversary crossover comes with black matte aluminum alloy wheels sized 17 inches, as well as badges indicating membership in the anniversary series, located on the front fenders.

The interior of the special Toyota Corolla Cross variant received virtually no changes. The seats are upholstered in artificial leather in mint and dark gray shades with gray fabric inserts with dark stitching. The three-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons, part of the front panel, and the gear shift lever are trimmed in leather.

The Toyota Corolla Cross Z Adventure 60th Anniversary received standard mechanicals. Let us remind you that in Japan, the crossover has only one “filling”: it is a HEV system based on the 2ZR-FXE naturally aspirated engine with a displacement of 1.8 liters, working in tandem with an electric motor and an electromechanical CVT. The total maximum system output is 140 hp. The model features an E-Four electric all-wheel drive system and a Snow Extra driving mode.

The price of the anniversary special edition Toyota Corolla Cross on the home market is also known. For such an “adventure” hybrid crossover, they ask at least 3,663,000 yen, which is equivalent to 1.77 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
