Esteo MX enters the Russian market: pre-order launch and full price list
The recommended retail price of the entry-level version of the crossover from the young “local” brand is 3,990,000 rubles.
One of the joint projects of the Russian holding “AGR” and the Chinese company Defetoo was the launch of a new brand on the Russian auto market, which was named Esteo. Under this name, the manufacturer intends to sell models from a wide variety of segments. So, the other day, pre-orders were announced for the brutal crossover with the index V27, and now the brand’s lineup has been expanded with the urban mid-size crossover Esteo MX, which was announced back in May.
Production of the SUV has been established at the plant in Shushary (St. Petersburg) owned by the AGR holding. Currently, the brand’s dealers in Russia have already begun collecting pre-orders for the crossover, and its prices are known. The Esteo MX is offered in two trims – “Premium” and “Flagship”. The recommended retail price of the entry-level version is 3,990,000 rubles, while the top-end variant costs 4,290,000 rubles (prices are given without taking into account current discounts).
Let us remind you that the “donor” for the Esteo MX was the Exeed MX crossover (the brand belongs to Chery), which is a purely petrol version of the Exeed Sterra E05. In China, this crossover appeared in November 2025 with a series hybrid setup of the range extender type, where the internal combustion engine is used only as a generator for the traction battery. This model is based on the Exeed TXL crossover, which until recently could also be bought in Russia, but now it is no longer on the brand’s local official website.
Under the hood of the all-wheel-drive Esteo MX crossover is a 2.0-liter turbo engine with an output of 197 hp and a maximum torque of 375 Nm. The engine works in conjunction with a classic eight-speed automatic transmission. The maximum speed of this crossover is 210 km/h, it takes 9.2 seconds to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h, and fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 9.2 liters per 100 km. The Esteo MX has a MacPherson strut suspension at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear.
The overall length of the SUV is 4775 mm, width – 1890 mm, height – 1725 mm, and the wheelbase is 2800 mm. Ground clearance is 200 mm. The trunk volume of the Esteo MX is 470 liters, and with the rear seats folded down, the cargo space can be increased to 1456 liters. The model comes with either 19- or 20-inch wheels (depending on the version).
In front of the driver in the cabin is a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a flattened bottom rim, behind which is a virtual instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch diagonal. A touchscreen of the same size is located in front of the front passenger. In the center of the dashboard is a touchscreen for the infotainment system with a 15.6-inch diagonal. The model is also equipped with a wireless smartphone charging device (50 W power) with reminder and cooling functions.
The Esteo MX features a range of safety systems, a set of driver assistance features, a panoramic sunroof with electric drive and sunshade, a ventilated box in the center armrest, front seats with massage function, a built-in telematic system, and Boya Melody audio with subwoofer and 14/21 speakers (depending on the version). The winter package includes: heated side mirrors, windshield, washer nozzles, steering wheel, four seats, as well as a remote engine start function and cabin preheating.
