Current Battery Rental Plan Starts at 298,800 RMB; NIO ES8 Five-Seat Version to Open for Pre-Orders on June 28
On June 22, we learned from NIO’s official sources that its large SUV—the NIO ES8 (parameters | inquiry) five-seat version—will open for预订 on June 28. At the same time, display cars will also arrive at NIO stores nationwide in succession. For context, the current NIO ES8 offers six-seat and seven-seat versions, with a total of three configurations, priced between 406,800 and 446,800 RMB. With the battery leasing plan, the price range is 298,800 to 338,800 RMB.



According to the preview released by the official source, the vehicle adopts a 2+3 five-seat layout, and it is expected that the overall configuration dimensions and interior design will remain consistent with the current model. Briefly, the seats feature diamond-pattern detailing for added refinement. Meanwhile, from the perspective of the trunk, the vehicle is equipped with a removable cargo cover, making the overall storage space performance more impressive compared to the current (six/seven-seat) version.


Currently, the official source has not revealed its overall exterior, which is expected to remain consistent with the current model. For reference, the vehicle adopts the latest family design language and adds a front trunk design with a volume of 230L, a maximum opening width of 915mm, and a maximum depth of 503mm, capable of accommodating two 20-inch suitcases and two backpacks. Its static load capacity is 80-100kg, and dynamic load capacity is up to 50kg. Meanwhile, the current (six/seven-seat) version has a standard trunk volume of 547L (including a 132L underfloor storage space), and depending on different seat configurations, it can be expanded to a maximum storage space of 3240L. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5280mm in length, 2010mm in width, and 1800mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3130mm, positioning it as a large SUV.
In terms of powertrain, the all-new NIO ES8 adopts a full-domain 900V high-voltage platform, equipped with a front 180kW induction motor and a rear 340kW silicon carbide permanent magnet motor, delivering a combined maximum power of 520kW and peak torque of 700 Nm, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.97 seconds. The power battery capacity is 102 kWh, offering a range of 635km, and it also supports a 6.6kW external discharge function. Additionally, the all-new NIO ES8 is equipped with a dual-chamber air suspension system with high adjustability, supporting adjustments from -50mm to +50mm. At the standard position, its minimum ground clearance is 165mm; when lowered to the minimum, the second-row floor height is 380mm, facilitating easy entry and exit. It also features a maximum wading depth of 650mm. The new car also offers a new generation of externally mounted CDC dampers. Notably, the vehicle is equipped with NIO’s first 4D全域舒适领航 (4D全域舒适领航) system, featuring intelligent slope leveling function and a minimum turning radius of 5.7 meters.
