Startruck Successfully Completes Safety Training for Unimog Operators in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province
StarTruck Korea (CEO Dong Geun-tae), the official importer of Mercedes-Benz trucks, announced that it completed training to strengthen the safe driving capabilities of Unimog operators on the 26th at the Nohyeong Office of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Road Management Division.
This training was organized to support the safe and efficient operation of Mercedes-Benz Unimogs used in public fields such as snow removal, disaster recovery, and road maintenance. Jeju Special Self-Governing Province currently holds a total of 23 Unimogs, and 30 Unimog managers and driving public officials attended the training that day.
The training was conducted as a practice-oriented course necessary for field work, with the participation of the head of the Mercedes-Benz Unimog Icheon Service Center (MBST). The main training content consisted of ▲Unimog vehicle structure and operating principles ▲Guidance on the operation and functions of the new Uni-Touch system ▲Diagnosis of warning messages and code verification ▲Parts repair and maintenance guidelines by warranty period ▲Operation methods for attached equipment such as snowplows and brush cutters ▲Equipment maintenance know-how after work, etc.
In particular, this training focused on the operation of the newly applied Uni-Touch interface and the use of the latest features in accordance with European GSR (General Safety Regulation) regulations. Participants handled actual vehicles to learn how to apply the Unimog’s advanced features to practical work and strengthened their diagnostic and response capabilities in the field.
In addition, the training focused on safe driving methods in special environments such as rough terrain driving and response procedures in emergency situations, with an emphasis on enhancing the stable vehicle operation and rapid field response capabilities required at disaster sites.
StarTruck Korea plans to continue expanding professional training programs for public institutions in the future. It also intends to support optimal Unimog operation by strengthening win-win cooperation between the nationwide service network and customer companies, and to strengthen technological leadership in the special truck sector.
Meanwhile, the Mercedes-Benz Unimog, a multipurpose special truck, is a high-performance special-purpose vehicle used in public fields such as snow removal, weed control, and disaster response to wildfires, boasting driving performance and work efficiency even in rugged terrain and extreme environments. Various equipment can be attached to and detached from the front and rear of the vehicle, making it useful for year-round road maintenance and public infrastructure management.
