Another announcement: the Jeland C5 crossover is preparing to enter the Russian market.
Production of the crossover from the young “local” brand will be established at a plant owned by the AGR holding company. Prices will be announced later.
The launch of the Jeland brand on the Russian auto market is one of several joint projects between the AGR holding and the Chinese company Defetoo, with its official announcement made in early February 2026. The brand includes two separate lineups – the J series and the C series. It is already known that the first includes crossovers: the J6, which has hit the market, the J7, which has received its price tag, and the announced J8. The company has only just begun to officially reveal the second lineup.
The first model of the C series will be a crossover named Jeland C5. Russians are already familiar with it, as the “twin” of this model is the Omoda C5 cross-coupe (a brand owned by the Chinese corporation Chery). Let us remind you that its current version appeared on the Russian auto market in March 2026, and the all-wheel-drive modification joined it in April.
Now the press service of the young Russian brand has announced the Jeland C5, which is preparing for an imminent launch on the Russian market: the exact start date of sales will be announced later. It is known that production of the “new model” will be established at a plant owned by the AGR holding company.
The crossover features a five-door coupe-style body with a sharp nose, two-tier LED headlights, black plastic body cladding around the perimeter (including wheel arch trim), two-tone alloy wheels sized 17 or 18 inches (depending on the version), a “mono taillight” with a zigzag light pattern, and a spoiler with an integrated brake light at the top of the tailgate.
The overall length of the crossover is 4545 mm, width – 1824 mm, height – 1588 mm, and the wheelbase is 2630 mm. For the front-wheel-drive version, ground clearance is 190 mm, trunk volume is 422 liters, and with the rear seats folded down, cargo space can be increased to 1149 liters. For the all-wheel-drive modification, the figures are 180 mm, 372, and 1079 liters, respectively.
The interior is upholstered in eco-leather; the model also comes with multilayer front windows, enhanced sound insulation, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and a wireless smartphone charging device with a cooling function (power – 50 W). In front of the driver is a two-spoke steering wheel with a “flattened” rim, as well as an 8-inch virtual instrument cluster. In the center of the front panel is a touchscreen for the infotainment system, with a diagonal of either 12.3 or 15.6 inches (depending on the trim level).
The Jeland C5 comes with front and side airbags, a 540° panoramic view system, a set of driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and a traffic jam assist. The crossover also received a so-called “winter package,” which includes heated seats for all rows, heated steering wheel, heated front and rear windows, heated side mirrors, and heated windshield washer nozzles.
Under the hood of the Jeland C5 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 147 hp, with a maximum torque of 210 Nm. For the front-wheel-drive version, this engine is paired with a six-speed dual-clutch robot gearbox, while the all-wheel-drive version gets a 7DCT. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.9 seconds for the first variant and 11.5 seconds for the second.
Prices for the Jeland C5 on the Russian market will be announced later. They are likely to be close to the current cost of the “donor” model. It is worth noting that the recommended retail price of the current front-wheel-drive Omoda C5 starts at 2,349,000 rubles, while the top all-wheel-drive version costs at least 2,879,000 rubles.
