Renault conducts 5th wireless update for Grand Koleos… improving product quality reflecting customer requests
Renault Korea will sequentially roll out its fifth wireless software update for the mid-size SUV “Grand Koleos” starting June 29. The update allows firmware to be downloaded via the in-car openR panoramic screen without visiting a service network, focusing on optimization that reflects user feedback and improvement requests.
Key improvements by control module in the 5th update
This update focuses on stabilizing six control modules directly related to driving and convenience, including climate control, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and infotainment.
Air conditioning control module: Optimizes the drive control logic of the HVAC system to reduce continuous operating noise.
Driver information module: Improves notification messages and various sounds / Enhances head-up display (HUD) position storage function / Adds gear shift sound effects.
Infotainment head unit: Optimizes welcome sound volume / Adds system settings menu for resetting engine oil change service reminders.
ADAS unit: Improves convenience in setting the lane departure prevention assist function.
Battery control module (hybrid only): Enhances accessory power outlet compatibility.
Propulsion control module (hybrid only): Stabilizes communication of the transmission oil pump.
