We have recently learned that the Jaguar Type 01 will be officially unveiled in October. As a brand-new luxury all-electric four-door GT model under the Jaguar brand, this vehicle will feature a three-motor layout with a combined maximum power output exceeding 746 kW. It is reported that the car is scheduled to launch in overseas markets in the first half of 2027, with an estimated price of £120,000 to £150,000, approximately RMB 1.08 million to 1.35 million.
As a recap, the car was officially named Type 01 in May. The “Type” emphasizes that this model will inherit Jaguar’s classic legendary vehicles, such as the C-TYPE race car that won the 1951 Le Mans race, followed by the E-TYPE, F-TYPE, and others. The “0” represents zero emissions, while the “1” signifies that this car is the first pioneering work of Jaguar’s new development era. It is worth noting that the Jaguar JEA architecture will also be used to develop new large sedans and SUVs. According to the new naming rules, these upcoming models are expected to be named Type 02 and Type 03.
Based on previous information, the Jaguar Type 01 is expected to have dimensions of 5235/2220/1395mm in length/width/height, with a wheelbase of 3200mm. The powertrain will feature a three-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering a combined maximum power of 746 kW and a peak torque of 1300 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, equipped with a 120 kWh battery pack, and offers a WLTP range of up to 700 km. Additionally, the new car will be equipped with an all-wheel steering system, dual-chamber air suspension, and a torque vectoring control system.
