Japanese Mini Off-Road ‘Van’ Damd Kit Doubles the Appeal of Suzuki Spacia Gear
Recently, Japan’s renowned tuning shop Damd has launched an exclusive exterior kit for the Suzuki Spacia (Parameters | Inquiry) Gear. The stock Suzuki Spacia Gear itself is the outdoor off-road-oriented version of the Spacia lineup, featuring a rugged factory exterior package. Building on this, Damd’s kit upgrades the exterior trim with a more premium feel and offers several optional matching accessories.

The core modifications of the entire kit are focused on the front end. The design retains Suzuki’s original design language, replacing the stock Spacia Gear’s grille with a higher-quality honeycomb mesh. The grille is surrounded by faux aluminum trim, and the circular LED headlights feature matching decorative rings. The factory headlight housings are black, but the kit replaces them with body-colored decorative covers.

The front bumper retains the factory part, with only added trim pieces to achieve a fresh visual effect. Damd has installed a horizontal decorative bar, evoking the retro charm of classic old-school metal bumpers. The side profile remains consistent with the stock Spacia Gear, with optional 15-inch alloy wheels paired with all-terrain tires, further enhancing light off-road capability. For those needing more cargo capacity, the brand also offers an optional roof rack.

The entire modification is purely cosmetic, with the chassis and powertrain left completely stock. The vehicle still features a 0.66-liter three-cylinder mild hybrid system, producing a maximum of 50 hp in the naturally aspirated version and 65 hp in the turbocharged version. It is available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, paired with a CVT transmission.
