BMW Group Korea Conducts Free Safety Inspection Campaign for BMW·MINI Electric Vehicles
BMW Group Korea (represented by Han Sang-yun) will conduct a ‘BMW·MINI EV Free Safety Inspection Campaign’ targeting all pure electric vehicles from BMW and MINI currently in operation in Korea from July 1 to December 31 this year.
This free EV safety inspection campaign is a program designed to ensure that BMW and MINI pure electric vehicle customers can drive with peace of mind, and has been prepared to prevent EV fires and safety accidents in advance through proactive inspections of key components.
In particular, there is no restriction on the vehicle’s delivery date, and the campaign covers all approximately 35,000 BMW and MINI pure electric vehicles sold in Korea to date. Customers wishing to have their vehicles inspected can make a reservation through the My BMW or MINI app or visit an official BMW or MINI service center nationwide, and after bringing in their vehicle, they can receive the free safety inspection service.
Electric vehicles brought in during the campaign period will receive focused inspections on key components including the high-voltage battery and battery-related parts, high-voltage cables, and the vehicle cooling system including coolant, along with basic checks on tire condition and air pressure.

Meanwhile, BMW Group Korea is focusing its capabilities on infrastructure investment to lead the overall growth of the domestic EV ecosystem beyond selling electrified models. In particular, as a result of taking the lead in building charging and maintenance infrastructure, the company has completed the installation of a cumulative total of 3,030 EV chargers nationwide as of December 2025, the largest among imported car brands in Korea. The company plans to secure a total of 4,000 charging infrastructure units by the end of the year.
