Buying Voyah Free / Free Sport+: What kind of car is this and what makes it interesting

Over the past few years, the Russian automotive market has changed beyond recognition. Along with it, perceptions of what a modern premium car should be have also changed. Today, buyers are increasingly interested in future technologies, the level of comfort, and the greater range of features they get for their money.
It is no surprise that it is precisely this approach that has allowed Voyah to take first place in the premium segment among all car brands – both those officially represented in Russia and those imported through parallel imports. And the new model called Sport+, which has become the most technologically advanced version of the Free crossover, perfectly demonstrates why the brand has earned the status of the No. 1 premium automotive brand in Russia.
A well-deserved first place in its class
Until quite recently, any conversation about a premium car inevitably came down to a few well-known brands. However, the market is changing faster than perceptions of it. The status of the No. 1 premium automotive brand is explained not only by market performance, but also by the fact that modern premium is increasingly defined not by a brand’s century-long history, but by the combination of technology, comfort, and user experience that the owner receives.
Sport+ is the most striking and advanced version of the brand’s flagship crossover. At first glance, it differs little from the already familiar Free, but it is precisely such cars that best explain why perceptions of the premium segment have changed today.

Restrained design with character
The exterior of the Sport+ has evolved carefully and without unnecessary fuss. The crossover retains its recognizable proportions, narrow radiator grille, and expressive lighting, but has gained new details. The front brake calipers are painted red, and additional body color options have appeared, including a rich “Burgundy” and an elegant “Pearl White” with a pearlescent shade.
At the same time, the designers avoided the temptation to turn the car into yet another exhibit in the “who can draw the most aggressive crossover” contest. The Free Sport+ looks restrained and solid – exactly the way a modern premium car should look.
Technology always at hand
The interior of the Free has long become one of the model’s most recognizable features, and in the Sport+ it still makes an impression. The central element is the signature rising panel with three 12.3-inch screens. After the car is started, the displays rise smoothly, turning an ordinary drive into a real technological show.
The upholstery uses the highest quality soft eco-leather, almost indistinguishable from natural leather, Alcantara, and high-quality plastic. Buyers have access to three interior design options: black, light gray, and ivory. However, the main advantage of the cabin lies not only in the materials. The Free Sport+ offers a level of equipment that just a few years ago was considered the privilege of cars in a significantly higher price segment.
The crossover boasts a panoramic roof with a sunroof and electric shade, contour lighting with many shades, multi-zone climate control, heated, ventilated, and massaging seats. The front seats are equipped with power adjustments and memory settings, while acoustic comfort is ensured by double-glazed windows and well-thought-out sound insulation.
The set of electronic assistants deserves special attention. The driver has at their disposal adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping and collision avoidance systems, a surround-view camera, automatic parking function, blind-spot monitoring, and a whole range of assistants that work unobtrusively in the background. The car supports remote control via the Russian Voyah mobile app, and many functions can be updated over the air.

Power in the service of comfort
However, the flagship status of the Sport+ version is determined not only by its level of equipment. The main innovation is a modernized hybrid powertrain. The power of the rear electric motor has increased to 292 hp, and the total system output has reached 510 horsepower. The powertrain also includes a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine producing 150 hp, operating as a generator, and a 218-hp front electric motor.
Even on paper, such figures look impressive, but the car’s character surprises even more. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 4.8 seconds, yet the Free Sport+ does not try to turn every trip into a demonstration of the powertrain’s capabilities. On the contrary, all that power here works primarily for comfort. Electric traction is available instantly: without delays, gear changes, or waiting for the engine to reach the right RPMs.
Fast, but not harsh
The engineers managed to preserve another important quality of the model – a successful balance between comfort and handling. The air suspension confidently handles uneven surfaces, smooths out joints, and does not make passengers count the patches on the asphalt. At the same time, the crossover remains composed and predictable in corners. All-wheel drive effectively realizes the powertrain’s capabilities, and a slight rear-axle bias makes the car’s responses more lively.
It is also important that the Sport+ does not try to seem sportier than it actually is. Many modern cars try to artificially weight the steering and imitate the sound of a powerful engine, turning the drive into a little performance. Voyah takes a different path: sport mode does make the responses sharper, but does not change the car’s character. It simply becomes faster – and that turns out to be quite enough.
A hybrid without compromises
The hybrid architecture allows combining impressive dynamics with practicality. The traction battery capacity is 43 kWh, the electric-only range reaches 175 kilometers, and the total driving range exceeds one thousand kilometers. For the owner, this means the ability to enjoy the benefits of an electric vehicle on daily routes without worrying about finding a charging station during long trips.

Maximum equipment at no extra cost
The status of the No. 1 premium automotive brand is not built on a single successful decision or a set of impressive specifications. In the case of Voyah, it is about a combination of qualities that are rarely found in one car at the same time: a powerful hybrid powertrain, well-thought-out equipment, a high level of comfort, and modern technologies.
It is precisely this approach that allowed Voyah to take first place in the premium segment among all cars – both those officially represented in Russia and those imported through parallel imports – based on the results of the first half of 2026. In six months, 7,810 models were sold – almost three times more than a year earlier. Moreover, following the results of June, the brand has topped the premium segment of the Russian automotive market for the third consecutive month.
It is worth noting that all Voyah models sold through the official dealer network come with a five-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty. In addition, the full range of services under the “Voyah – Roadside Assistance” program is available, including emergency technical assistance on the road and towing to the nearest brand dealer center in the event of an accident or any other unforeseen circumstances.
The Voyah Free Sport+ crossover is offered in a single, maximally equipped trim level. Buyers are eligible for a discount under the state support program of up to 925,000 rubles, but no more than 35% of the car’s cost. Thus, the price of the model, taking into account current support programs and special offers, starts from 5,100,000 rubles.
It is the Free Sport+ version that clearly demonstrates what a premium car can be today: fast, technologically advanced, and convenient not only in advertising brochures, but also in everyday life. And this can easily be seen in person by visiting the showroom of the official Voyah brand dealer – Major. The company’s staff will arrange a test drive and answer any questions about the new model.
