Hyundai Motor Group Holds Inauguration Ceremony for First Cohort of ‘HINT’ Youth Job Competency Enhancement Training Program
Hyundai Motor Group held the joint entrance ceremony for the first cohort of ‘HINT (HMG Incubation of New Talent)’, a job competency enhancement training program for nurturing young talent, on Monday the 27th at the Hyundai Motor Group Human Resources Development Center’s Gyeongju campus.
‘HINT’ is part of the ‘K-New Deal Academy’, a youth vocational training initiative promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in collaboration with domestic companies. It was established to help young people improve their job competencies and design their career paths by providing opportunities for hands-on experience in future mobility industry sites and technology exposure.
The detailed curriculum consists of two tracks: ▲ ‘Embedded AI (hardware and software fields)’, which strengthens core technical capabilities in future mobility development, and ▲ ‘Manufacturing Intelligence’, which covers digital transformation and smartization in manufacturing sites. In addition, various field-oriented programs will be offered, including tours of Hyundai Motor Group’s key production plants, real vehicle-based training, and special lectures by current employees.
The 500 trainees gathered from 7 regions across the country will participate in a 3-day, 2-night residential training following the entrance ceremony, during which they will understand the purpose and educational direction of the ‘HINT’ program, concretize their own growth goals, and broaden their communication networks by forming connections with fellow trainees.
Hyundai Motor Group aims to conduct more than 90% of the training programs in non-capital regions such as Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, and Busan, thereby providing professional practical training opportunities to local youth and contributing to the stable growth of regional talent.
At the event, Hyundai Motor Group President Sung Kim and Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Young-hoon attended and encouraged the trainees with a welcome speech and congratulatory remarks, respectively.
Hyundai Motor Group President Sung Kim stated, “The automobile industry is evolving with a focus on electric vehicles and software, and it is important to learn and grow in line with these changes,” adding, “I expect that the trainees will be able to develop not only specialized knowledge in future mobility fields but also the problem-solving skills needed in real work environments through the ‘HINT’ training program.”
Hyundai Motor Group will operate the first cohort of ‘HINT’ over the next three months and plans to recruit participants for the second cohort in September.
