New Hyundai Elantra N 2027

A month ago, the premiere of the new generation of the Korean sedan took place, and now the company is preparing a sporty version with the N badge. What will it look like?

The Elantra model was first introduced in 1990 — it replaced the rear-wheel-drive Hyundai Stellar on the assembly line. Today, the eighth generation of the sedan is already in production, with its premiere held at the end of last month. Starting with the previous generation, the Elantra has had a top-tier modification with the N badge, and the new sedan will also get one.

There have been no photos of prototypes or teasers yet, but we can rely on the styling of the company’s other N models. The car depicted in the renderings features the signature blue color and multi-spoke alloy wheels. The front bumper is completely new, with a wider air intake and red trim at the bottom. Similar trim appears on the side sill covers, as well as on the rear bumper, beneath which sit a pair of large exhaust tips. Company representatives hinted that the top version of the Elantra will get even wider fenders (possibly through add-on flares, as in our renderings), and a spoiler on the edge of the trunk lid will almost certainly appear as well.

The Elantra N of the previous generation is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 276 hp (392 Nm). It is expected that the new model will receive a more powerful 2.5-liter turbo engine (likely completely new or significantly modernized), delivering around 300 hp. For comparison, the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in the Sonata N Line offers 290 hp and 422 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, at the end of last month, the standard Hyundai Ioniq 3 was showcased.
