Jeep brings back Wrangler Laredo off-roader after decades
The prices for the new special edition of the American brand’s model are already known: the three-door version costs at least $53,240, while the five-door version is priced at $55,620.
Jeep, a brand under the automotive giant Stellantis, continues to celebrate its 85th anniversary by releasing various versions of the classic off-road vehicle as part of the Twelve 4 Twelve campaign. This initiative involves releasing 12 special editions of the Wrangler over 12 months, starting in November 2025. To date, the ninth modification is ready, and this off-road vehicle has been given the familiar name Jeep Wrangler Laredo.
It is worth recalling that a variant with this name already existed in the model lineup: the modification was produced from 1987 to 1995. The addition of Laredo to the name is a reference to the city of the same name in Texas (USA), located on the border with Mexico. As the manufacturer noted, the new special edition was inspired by the American Southwest and incorporates some design elements that recreate the trim of the model from the 1980s.
The Jeep Wrangler Laredo is based on the Willys version with the Xtreme 35 package, so this off-road vehicle features a revised suspension, increased ground clearance, and bronze-finished 17-inch wheels with beadlocks, fitted with 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 off-road tires.
Among the exterior features of this version are the signature seven-slot grille with a bronze-sand frame, tow hooks integrated into the lower part of the front and rear bumpers in the same color, side decals, and special edition name badges on the side edge of the hood. The model also comes with a soft sand-colored top, with optional black hardtop or Sky One-touch power roof available.
The interior has also received a series of updates. The Jeep Wrangler Laredo features front seats upholstered in brown leather with gold stitching, equipped with power adjustments and heating. Stitching of the same color is present on the black steering wheel and gear shift lever cover. A special edition name emblem is also located on the center console.
The “heart” of the special edition is standard: under the hood lies a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated Pentastar V6 gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 289 hp and torque of 353 Nm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The price of the Jeep Wrangler Laredo is already known: the three-door version on the American market costs at least $53,240 (equivalent to approximately 4.12 million rubles at the current exchange rate), while the five-door version will set you back $55,620 (about 4.31 million rubles).
