0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.7 seconds, 31L front trunk: multiple specs of the new BMW i3 revealed
Recently, as the all-new BMW i3 50 xDrive First Edition has begun pre-sales in the European market, the official technical specifications of the new model have also been released. According to previous reports, the domestic long-wheelbase version of the all-new BMW i3 will officially go into production in January 2027, with the first model being the BMW i3 40 long-wheelbase version.
In terms of body dimensions, the vehicle measures 4760mm in length, 1865mm in width, and 1480mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2897mm. For storage space, the all-new BMW i3 offers front and rear trunk volumes of 31L and 420L respectively, while the all-new BMW iX3 provides 58L and 520L respectively.
The wheelbase of the all-new BMW i3 and iX3 is exactly the same. Both models are equipped with the same dual-motor system, delivering identical horsepower and torque figures, and are also fitted with the same 108.7kWh battery pack. The curb weight of the all-new BMW i3 First Edition is 2205kg, which is 80kg lighter than the all-new iX3 50 xDrive. If the exclusive optional packages of the i3 First Edition are excluded, the weight difference would be even greater.
In terms of acceleration performance, the all-new BMW i3 excels, achieving a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.7 seconds. The range of the all-new BMW i3 First Edition is 906 kilometers, while the standard version will offer even greater range, reaching up to 912 kilometers.
